Pedistaled Pot

5 in. high & 5 in. wide
Top bare clay, with hints of glaze embedded in lace-like imprinted pattern, base cloudy pastel green glaze.

This pot was made by pressing flat slabs into a bowl lined with an open netting type of fabric, two times.  Both bowls were then put together and paddled to seal the seam.  Leaf forms were added to give some kind of interest to the edge of the pot.  The pedistal was made on the potter’s wheel.  Glaze was applied and then wiped off the body of the pot in order to emphasize the lace pattern.
