The process of pottery making is what drew me to it and what keeps me in it,  that is the reason I create a large variety of pottery.  When I was taking classes, my professor said that opening the kiln is like Christmas.  And I pretty much agree, except for the times that opening the kiln reveals that the glaze on one of my favorite pots looks horrible, then it is very much NOT like Christmas.  It’s one of the few Art/Crafts where you are not exactly sure what the final product will look like, until it is completely finished.
